Accessibility Policy

Commercial Drywall Supply (Ontario) Inc.

 


 

1. Purpose

 

The purpose of this Accessibility Policy is to outline the commitment of Commercial Drywall Supply (Ontario) Inc. to providing an inclusive, barrier-free environment for our employees, customers, suppliers, visitors, and all individuals who interact with our organization.

This policy is designed to ensure compliance with:

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

The Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR)

Applicable human rights legislation and accessibility best practices in Canada

Accessibility principles consistent with the Accessible Canada Act (ACA) where relevant

 


 

2. Scope

 

This policy applies to:

All employees, contractors, volunteers, and individuals acting on behalf of Commercial Drywall Supply (Ontario) Inc.

All services, programs, communications, products, and public interactions

All physical and digital environments operated or managed by our company

 


 

3. Definitions

 

Barrier
Anything that prevents full and equal participation of a person with a disability. Barriers may be physical, architectural, technological, attitudinal, informational, communicational, or procedural.

Disability
Any degree of physical, mental, intellectual, developmental, cognitive, learning, or sensory impairment, as defined under the AODA and Ontario Human Rights Code.

Accessible Formats & Communication Supports
Alternate formats such as large print, audio, electronic text, or other formats that make information usable to people with disabilities.

Commercial Drywall Supply (Ontario) Inc. will:

Ensure websites and web content conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA (as required under AODA)

7. Employment Standards

8. Built Environment (Design of Public Spaces)

 

Where applicable, Commercial Drywall Supply (Ontario) Inc. will comply with the AODA’s Design of Public Spaces Standards, ensuring accessibility in:

Parking areas

Service counters

Waiting areas

Pathways and physical spaces

Any renovations or new construction will incorporate accessibility requirements under the Ontario Building Code and AODA.

 


 

9. Training

 

All employees, contractors, and relevant personnel will receive accessibility training that includes:

AODA requirements and IASR standards

Human rights obligations related to disability

Accessible customer service practices

Updates as regulations evolve and policies change

Training records will be maintained by Commercial Drywall Supply (Ontario) Inc..
