- Gypsum Plaster Accelerators are additives that shorten the setting times for gypsum plaster and setting-type joint compounds by causing gypsum crystals to form at a much faster rate. Safe and easy-to-use, USG Gypsum Plaster Accelerators are available in the following formulations:
- USG Standard Strength Gypsum Plaster Accelerator reduces set times for veneer and conventional plasters by 10 to 30 minutes
- USG Accelerator — Alum Catalyst helps correct plaster dry-out conditions and may also be used to treat sun-faded USG Imperial® Gypsum Base before a lime-containing plaster is applied
