As you may be aware, ongoing conflict in the Middle East has resulted in significant volatility in global energy markets. Fuel prices, and subsequently freight costs, have risen materially and without notice.

CGC works hard to contain controllable costs where possible but at this time; to maintain reliable service levels, it is necessary for us to implement a temporary freight surcharge. This surcharge will apply on all prepaid shipments from a CGC/USG facility located in Canada or the United States and will be implemented with any shipment leaving our facilities on or after May 1st, 2026.

We cannot confirm the duration of this surcharge but commit to actively monitoring market conditions and reviewing the monthly cost of freight. We will provide timely communication to our customers with any appropriate adjustments to these expectations.

This freight surcharge will be implemented as a set dollar amount per shipment as follows:
 

• Partial Truckload  10,000 – 39,999 lbs.  $190/Load 
• Full Truckload  40,000 lbs. Plus  $380/Load
   

Additional details on the execution of this surcharge will be provided as soon as possible to allow our customers to prepare for allocation and processing.
